Oxyllow System
What is it? How does it work? Who can use it?
Many people struggle with sleeping while wearing a nasal cannula. There are over 1.5 million people that have to sleep with one nightly in the United States alone. Less than half of these people dont recieve their therapy becuase of discomfort with sleeping with a cannula. The cannula can dry out the nose, patients report nose bleeds, skin irritation on the nares/behind the ears, and tubing gets tangled around the body. What is the Oxyllow System? The Oxyllow system is a pillow attachment. This attachment or pillow case allows oxygen users to take a break form their canula and return to how you use to sleep before the oxygen leash. This system consists of a pillow case, 2 blocks, 2 diffuser heads, 3 tubes and a y-connector. This system works is easily put together so that people on supplemental oxygen can get the therapy they need without having to deal with a cannula.
How does it work? The Oxyllow system works by creating oxygen rich pockets right infront of the your face. These pockets only build up if you are within the right proximity to the diffuser head. It is recomended to keep your face within 3 inches of the diffuser head. It connects to all typical continuous flow oxygen sources.
Who can use it? The Oxyllow system is design to acomodate stomach and side sleepers. The optimal range for the Oxyllow System is from 1-4 liters. The system allows you to get similar oxygen concentration to a nasal cannula. If you are above this range, it has not been tested for higher liter flows. Users are encouraged to use their perscribed rate while using the Oxyllow System.
How we got to where we are.
We had a neighbor who's boy was prescribed supplemental oxygen. He flat our refused to wear his oxygen at night. The parents we left with fighting their boy to put the tubes in his nose. Thus he woke up multiple times every single night. We found there are few options for people that sleep with supplemental oxygen that make the delivery comfortable. Being a recent dad, if the boy was not sleeping, the parents were suffering the same fate. This is how the first supplemental oxygen delivery pillow was born. Parents reported that their boy had better focus in school and they could finally sleep through the night.
How we changed from a pillow to a pillow attachment.
The Oxyllow system has been tested over and over again in different shapes and forms to make sure that it provides comfortable oxygen to the user. Throughout this testing we identified that everyone has their prefered way they sleep with their pillow. Instead of being the pillow for everybody. The Oxyllow System retrofits to anyone's standard pillow size. If you have your special pillow the casing slides into place. The velcro on the casing lets you sleep how you like on a pillow to get more comfortable oxygen delivery.

He is a husband and father of two beautiful children and stays busy with his family. Aaron is his younger brother and spends his time volunteering with a highschool wrestling program working with highschoolers to develop characteristics like hardwork, integrity and perserverance. Both are excited about the Oxyllow System and the many people that it can help.
